OUR TOUR EXPERIENCES
The only African country to avoid colonization in recent centuries, Ethiopia is arguably the richest country in Africa in terms of preserved traditional culture. In spite of pressure from the government, missionaries, NGOs, as well as inevitable modernization, the traditional African tribes of Ethiopia are still hanging onto their traditional culture, but it won't last forever. As anyone who has visited Ethiopia can attest, Ethiopia has retained more in the way of traditional culture than possibly anywhere else on the continent. I provide expeditions all over the country in order to guide visitors who wish to explore our historical and natural wonders, as well as interact with and learn about the friendly and proud peoples of Ethiopia. This is not only interesting for guests, but also helps the locals benefit from maintaining their centuries-old sights, traditions, and cultures. There is no denying that Ethiopia is an experience, but it's not the easiest country to travel in, especially as a visitor. I am experienced and know the ins and outs of helping you get the most out of your visit while keeping any potential headaches to a minimum. Ethiopia is a complex, intriguing, wild, and beautiful country. Join me and discover why Ethiopia is widely considered the most unique and unforgettable cultural destination in Africa.

OUR TESTIMONIALS
Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we try our best to be flexible while providing once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
I could spend all day talking about Lalo’s qualities but the most important quality you should be looking for in such a trip is trust. I trust Lalo 100%...Lalo has now worked with several photographers and he understands the requirements...I would not dream of going to the Omo Valley with anyone else and I highly recommend Lalo...
- SPENCER MONTERO, professional photographer
As a photographer for over 40 years and having made images from all corners of the globe it is beyond apparent to me and other seasoned professionals that an essential ingredient for making meaningful images is a local guide who not only is fluent in the local dialects but who also has empathy for the peoples encountered...I took off for what turned out to be one of the most unique photographic trips that I have had the pleasure of making. Lalo and his team were always willing to go the extreme mile to make sure that I was able to make the photographic images I had set out to take...The only negative aspect of the trip that I sadly have to admit was that it had to end. The memories fortunately, however, will last a lifetime.
- EUGENE JOHNSON, professional photographer
I found Lalo Tours through a fellow travel photographer on Instagram, who assured me that he has been on many trips with Lalo and would not do it with out him. He was right. Lalo was everything you could ask for in a guide...
